The Augustinian Contemplative Nuns of Monastery, Nova Scotia are members of the Order of Saint Augustine. This is an international religious order of the Roman Catholic Church. As well as its apostolic communities of men in over forty countries, it has monasteries of contemplative nuns mainly in Italy and Spain, but also in Africa, South America, USA, and the Philippines As Augustinian contemplative nuns, we have responded to God’s invitation to this life of loving prayer and contemplation through our vowed commitment in a monastic contemplative community. Our lives bear silent witness to the Word of God that is alive and active both in us and in the world for which we work and pray.
